We don’t know if London’s Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan is seriously brainwashed by liberal ideology or if he’s secretly carrying water for the very Islamists who would love to turn his city into a Sharia haven. Either way, he sounds like someone who has no business holding political office anywhere in the West. We’re not sure what Londoners were thinking when they voted for him, but then again, we’re the country that sent Barack Obama to the White House on two separate occasions, so we suppose we don’t have much room to talk.
Even so, this Khan is a piece of work.
At a Labour Party event in Brighton this weekend, the mayor – who has watched his city be attacked again and again by Islamic terrorists – said that he was a “reluctant participant” in an ongoing feud with President Donald Trump. We’re not so sure he understands the meaning of “reluctant,” but we certainly know he has had harsher words for Trump than he has for the murderers who have infected his city with violence.
But never has he said anything more outrageous than he said at this event, as he spoke to Trump’s call for a ban on Muslim immigration – one that would have given a special exception to Khan.
“My view was firstly ‘I’m not exceptional’ and secondly, ‘Think about what you are saying.’ Because what you are saying is not dissimilar to what Daesh or so-called ISIS says,” Khan said.
Yes, the mayor of London just said that President Trump’s remarks on Muslim immigration – a perfectly sound position, given that the U.S. had just been attacked days prior – are basically the same as ISIS rhetoric.
“They say that there is a clash of civilizations, it is not possible to be a Muslim and a westerner, and the west hates us. And you are inadvertently playing their game, you are helping them,” he continued.
Trump has never said that you cannot be a Muslim and a westerner. He HAS said that “there’s something going on” in many Islamic communities, and we’d like to see Khan refute that argument. The dead lying in his city’s streets are all the evidence he should need.
“I’m a westerner, but also a very proud Muslim,” he said. “There are some people who want to divide our communities – I’m not going to let them.”
Right. President TRUMP is the one dividing your so-called communities, not the Islamists who go out of their way to promote and defend their religion every time some whackadoo terrorist blows up a concert. Not the terrorists themselves. Not the liberals who bend over backwards to avoid criticizing Islamic countries for human rights records that share more in common with the Middle Ages than 21st century Earth. No, it’s Trump, who is one of the few world leaders willing to tell the truth about what it is we’re up against.
“I’m happy to educate people who are ignorant,” Khan concluded.
Start with yourself, Mayor Khan. Start with yourself.
