Speaking at a massive rally in Wildwood, New Jersey on Tuesday night, President Donald Trump hammered his political opponents, trashed the impeachment charade playing out in Washington, and advised thousands of rabid supporters to reject the vision of America that 2020 Democrats are trying to make a reality. At an event that reportedly turned away more than 100,000 ticket-seekers, Trump addressed people who had, in some cases, slept outside for more than 24 hours for a chance to get inside the Wildwoods Convention Center.
“While we are creating jobs and killing terrorists, the congressional Democrats are obsessed with demented hoaxes, crazy witch hunts, and deranged partisan crusades,” Trump said. “We will make sure they face another crushing defeat in the next election.”
Trump hit his economic message hard, contrasting the boom under his presidency with the anemic economy under his predecessors.
“Earnings for the bottom 10 percent are rising faster than earnings for the top 10 percent, for the first time ever,” Trump said. “Since my election, the net worth for the bottom half of wage-earners has increased by 47 percent, three times faster than the increase for the top one-percent. Median household income is at an all-time high; for President Bush, in eight years it was $450. Under President Barack Hussein Obama, for eight years, it was $975. Under your favorite president, and when you include the tax cuts, the regulation cuts – under President Trump, for three years, the number is almost $10,000 and it’s going up. That’s a big difference.”
The president said it would be insane to hand the economy over to Democrats, who are touting policies that would “demolish” our economic prospects.
“We are saving your health care while the Democrats are trying to take away your health care, take away your doctors,” Trump said.
Trump touted a victory that came down from the Supreme Court on Monday, when the justices ruled 5-4 to lift a lower court injunction against his administration’s “public charge rule.”
“We will now finally be able to enforce federal law and ensure that those seeking admission to our country are able to support themselves financially and not abuse taxpayer-funded programs,” he said. “On no issue have Washington Democrats more thoroughly betrayed the American people than the issue of immigration.”
Beyond anything that Trump said on Tuesday night, though, is the mere fact of the rally itself. The nearly 200,000 supporters who tried to get into the event. Take a look at the 2020 Democrats – up to and including the Socialist Messiah himself – and ask yourself if anyone on that side of the aisle has this kind of energy behind them. It’s not even close.
Look at all the polls you want. Tell yourself that America is ready for “normalcy.” Tell yourself that America wants universal healthcare. Tell yourself anything you want. But look at the difference between Trump’s rallies and those on the Democratic side, and you can see very easily that it’s going to be 2016 all over again. Frankly, we don’t even think it’s going to be close.
