Brits Say Taxpayers Must Fund Womb Transplants for Transgender Women

From the “Just When You Think You’ve Heard It All” file comes this startling new report from The Daily Mail in the UK. Apparently there is a movement now to provide womb transplants for transgender women (read: men who now identify as women) so that they can experience the “right” of procreation that belongs to all females. And lest you think this is just some fringe thing they’re talking about in some dark corner of Twitter, no no, this is actually being proposed by some experienced medical professionals in the NHS. The government-funded NHS.

From The Mail:

Leading the debate on the controversial procedure is medical ethics lawyer Dr Amel Alghrani, who is pressing for a talks on whether womb transplants for trans-women should be publicly funded.

Dr Alghrani, of Liverpool University, also predicts that a successful programme would lead to others demanding wombs – including gay and straight men who wanted to experience ‘the joys’ of carrying a child.

But critics say the NHS should not waste precious resources merely to allow trans-women to pursue an ‘authentic female experience’.

Women’s campaigner Laura Perrins said: ‘Most taxpayers will not think this is a good use of resources. It raises profound ethical and moral issues that will have an impact on women’s rights. It will impinge on the meaning of motherhood and womanhood.’

Well, what it “impinges” on is the very bedrock of sanity upon which rests human civilization.

But who could have expected anything else? What else could we have expected to happen once we blurred the line between women and men? We’ve been headed to this point since the start of feminism. This is the endgame. When you decide that only “social customs” divide the sexes, all bets are off.

Of course, what’s hilarious is that we are on a track to bring an end to feminism altogether. After all, we can’t very well keep pretending that women are oppressed in modern society if anyone can be a woman at any time they choose, can we? If we’re all just people who can, at a moment’s notice, decide to simply “become” another gender, then why would we need a special movement to protect one gender or another? Just become the gender that isn’t oppressed at the moment and liberate yourself.

And then have a baby, because…why not?
