Louis Farrakhan gave a speech so beyond mainstream political discourse last weekend that even a liberal CNN anchor had to take note of it on Twitter. The Nation of Islam leader spoke for Saviours Day 2018 on Sunday, where he made a number of racial and ethnic remarks for a Chicago crowd of brainwashed followers.
“Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out, turning men into women and women into men,” he said.
In another segment of the speech, Farrakhan said, “White folks are going down. And Satan is going down. And Farrakhan, by God’s grace, has pulled a cover off of that Satanic Jew, and I’m here to say your time is up, your world is through.”
The disgusting speech inspired Jake Tapper to warn his Twitter followers about the madness of Rev. Farrakhan.
“The difference between Farrakhan and some members of the alt-reich whose heinous bigotry has received a lot of attention this past year: Farrakhan has a much larger following and elected officials meet with him openly,” Tapper wrote.
Yes, it is curious, isn’t it? The media has been reporting that there has been a surge in anti-Semitic vandalism and hate crime over the past couple of years, but, in a sign that they never learned that correlation does not equal causation, they have put the entire blame on the rise of Donald Trump and the alt-right. Or the “alt-reich,” as Tapper prefers. But while there may be some loose association between the two, we find it strange how Farrakhan and his diseased congregation that preys upon black identity politics gets a free pass. No one ever says a word about it, and we’re talking about one of the most visible, widely-respected EXTREMISTS in America today. And half the media ignores him and the other half treats him like he’s a modern day black hero.
As for politicians meeting openly with him…well, that may be an exaggeration, but they DO meet with him. It’s just that they go to extraordinary lengths to hide that fact from the public. Take Obama, whose photo with the good reverend only came to light this year, long after his political career was over. Or DNC Vice-Chair Keith Ellison, who has tried unsuccessfully to distance himself from his Nation of Islam past. Of course, we say “unsuccessfully”…as far as the left-wing media is concerned, it was actually very successful. Meanwhile, Stephen Miller can’t use the word “cosmopolitan” or the OK hand sign without liberal bloggers accusing him of white supremacy.
Alas, most journalists would rather chew off their own foot than challenge a black interest group leader affiliated with the precious religion of Islam, so we have to give Tapper a little bit of credit.
As much as that pains us.
