It’s gets old seeing the same, tired liberal bias in our nation’s most widely-read newspapers, but it never gets old shining the spotlight of truth on that bias. Papers like the Washington Post are enjoying their new boom period, but in their reckless, unethical coverage, the Post has sacrificed their longterm trust and stability for a cheap buck.
Of course, the coverage doesn’t have to actually be about Trump for WaPo’s writers to careen off into liberal BiasLand.
Take this story they ran on Monday.
The basics: A Washington D.C. councilman – Trayon White Sr. (DEMOCRAT) – released a self-made video on Friday telling viewers that the weather in Washington was orchestrated by some kind of weird Jewish conspiracy against American cities. Noting the brief snow flurries that fell on the nation’s capital that morning, White idly informed his constituents that not all weather was as innocent as SCIENCE would have us believe (Duh duh duhhhhh!)
“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man,” White said. “Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation. And D.C. keep taking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
Now, unless you have the approximate IQ of a garden slug, you will recognize this as the insanity that it is. And yet, as the Washington Post explains, White didn’t pull this conspiracy theory out of his own head.
“White’s video statements appear to echo beliefs, found lurking in corners of the Internet, that the Rockefeller Foundation’s Resilient Cities initiative — which provides grants to cities, including the District, to address environmental and economic problems — is actually part of a secret scheme to control and reduce the population of North America,” they report.
Be that as it may, White’s video was criticized as anti-Semitic and he eventually came around to issuing a blanket apology. And, unlike what happens when a Republican accidentally steps in it, he was immediately and instantly forgiven by his council member colleagues and various anti-discrimination groups. What can we say – it’s good to be a Democrat in Washington.
But for the Washington Post, it wasn’t enough to close out the article by assuring us that White was forgiven and all was well. Why, people might still walk away with a bad “Gee, though, that was some pretty crazy stuff that DEMOCRAT said…” taste in their mouth. So they close out the story with two paragraphs that are just so, so Washington Post:
The Republican Party’s 2012 platform embraced what had previously been fringe fears of a 1992 United Nations environmental accord known as Agenda 21, stating that it was “erosive of American sovereignty.” Assertions that the pact was cover for a global plot had become popular among tea party groups battling local, state and federal environmental regulations.
Speculation that high-ranking Democratic Party officials, including former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, were involved in a child sex-trafficking ring run out of a D.C. restaurant led to the infamous “Pizzagate” episode in December 2016. A North Carolina man showed up with a Colt AR-15 military-style rifle and a .38-caliber Colt revolver at Comet Ping Pong, a pizza joint in Northwest Washington, saying he planned to investigate the allegations.
He fired multiple shots inside the restaurant before police arrested him. No one was harmed.
Ahh, now the reader can move on with his or her day with that refreshing, light feeling that comes with “knowing” that whatever bad a Democrat might do, Republicans are still way worse. How delightful.
We’d like to really come down on the writers for their bias, but then again, with all the nasty chemtrails in the air above Washington, can they really be held responsible for their actions?
