On the hunt for a new chairman and a new strategy, the Democratic National Committee held a televised forum for candidates on Monday which quickly turned into a strange and unseemly attack on white people.
While several of the candidates put forth reasonable and logical theories regarding the 2016 election, others seemed to believe that the failures of the Democratic Party had nothing to do with corrupt candidates or far-left social engineering. Rather, it was because the DNC had not done enough to bring minorities into the fold.
Idaho Democrat Sally Boynton Brown said that she would direct the DNC to offer “training” that would teach people “how to be sensitive and how to shut their mouths if they are white.”
In a discussion about how the Democratic Party should deal with the Black Lives Matter movement, Brown said, “It makes me sad that we’re even having that conversation and that tells me that white leaders in our party have failed.
“I’m a white woman, I don’t get it,” Brown said. “My job is to listen and be a voice and shut other white people down when they want to interrupt.”
If the Democratic Party wants to ensure its own demise over the next four years, they should hire Brown to be their DNC director. Brown or someone like her who will focus on the minority vote exclusively. Because let’s face it, Democrats did not lose this election because blacks suddenly decided that Donald Trump was a better choice than Hillary Clinton. They lost because Hillary spent all her time focused on minorities and didn’t bother with the white Democrats of the Midwest. That gave Trump the opportunity he needed to turn those blue states red for the first time in decades.
Turnout is something to be concerned about, but there’s only so much the party can do. They are trying their best to make it so illegal immigrants and felons and dead people can vote, but the Trump administration is going to put a stop to a lot of those shenanigans.
But instead of recognizing the reality of the situation, the party seems poised to hang a “No Whites Allowed” sign on the front of the DNC and proclaim themselves the Minority Party. That may make them very popular with marchers and rioters and MSNBC talk show hosts, but it’s a dubious election strategy, to say the least.
Is it too early for a “Four More Years” chant?
