Well, we narrowly avoided the embarrassment of watching C-SPAN liar Steve Scully try to pretend he’s unbiased at the last presidential debate, but we’re not out of the woods yet. There’s one more debate to be held, and it will be moderated by NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker, a woman whose pro-Democrat bias couldn’t be more obvious if she walked around in a pink hat with cat ears.
“The problem is the anchors are all crooked,” Trump said in a recent interview with Newsmax. “Now we have Kristen Welker; she’s a disaster. She’s a NeverTrumper from NBC. You know, all of NBC is NeverTrump. That’s ‘Con’-cast. They’re all NeverTrump, they’re bad news. That’s MS-‘DNC’. You know, they’re just bad news.”
Of course, the truth about Welker is that the term “NeverTrump” doesn’t even come close to fully describing her. It’s not like she’s a “conservative” who dislikes Trump like Mitt Romney or that guy who used to run The Weekly Standard. Those fools are bad enough; Welker is just a straight-up left-winger who has made no effort at all to hide her political allegiances.
“Anyone who’s ever dealt with Welker knows she’s an activist, not a reporter,” a senior White House official told the New York Post. “The White House press team views her the same way they would AOC or Pelosi if they walked in the office.”
That’s a rough thing to say about someone who is supposed to be an objective journalist, but it’s certainly not unwarranted.
“Welker and her family celebrated Christmas at the White House with the Obamas in 2012. Her mother and father, Julie and Harvey Welker have donated tens of thousands to Democrat candidates and nearly $20,000 to ex-President Barack Obama alone,” the NY Post reports. “Also, they have donated $3,300 to Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, $2,100 to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign against Trump, and another $7,300 to the Democratic National Committee between 2004 and 2020.”
Ridiculous. Why even bother to pretend being a journalist? How did the Commission for Presidential Debates think this was an appropriate choice for such an important role? What would the left have said if the commission chose Rush Limbaugh to moderate the debate? They might as well have Savannah Guthrie up there on the dais. We’re sure she’s eager to get back to asking those essential questions about QAnon.
Anyway, if you want to see Trump debate two opponents at once, this travesty will air on Thursday night.
