LGBT Mafia Horrified That Mayor Pete Once Helped Salvation Army

We’re pretty sure that nothing will top the idiocy of feminists freaking out over that Christmas Peloton commercial this year, but this one comes pretty close. Someone came up with some pictures of South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg helping the Salvation Army raise money for the poor in 2017, and the LGBT Mafia is losing its collective mind.

In the pictures, Buttigieg is seen outside a South Bend restaurant participating in the annual Red Kettle Ring Off, a charity drive that calls on public officials to compete with each other to see who can raise the most money for the Salvation Army. You’d think this would be a relatively uncontroversial thing for a mayor to be involved with, but you have to leave common sense at the door when talking about gay activism. See, the Salvation Army is a Christian charity, and even though Mayor Pete is gay, he should have known better than to help an organization with “outdated” views on homosexuality.

“I know the photos are two years old, but still, I can’t help but wonder if Mayor Pete just looks at what LGBTQ activists have been working on for years and then chooses to spite it (e.g. Salvation Army, Chick-fil-A, queer media in general, etc.),” tweeted Zack Ford.

Another Twitter Twit wrote: “Apparently race issues aren’t the only thing @PeteButtigieg is slow to grasp. What is his excuse for not realizing the Salvation Army is homophobic?”

Another user, lying through their teeth, wrote: “We in the #LGBTQ & others are nuanced. The act of service to others doesn’t mean the absolution of another’s hate to others.”

That is, actually, the exact opposite of “nuance.” You’re so blinded by your hatred of anything “Christian” or “traditional” that you would rather destroy such an organization than worry for a minute about the millions of people who benefit from the Salvation Army’s charity. If an organization (or person) doesn’t sign off on every jot and tittle of your agenda, they must be canceled.

By the way, here’s a statement from the commander of the Salvation Army:

Here’s our truth:

The Salvation Army is the world’s largest nongovernmental provider of poverty relief, serving more than 23 million in need each year in America alone. Our doors are, and always have been, open to all. We don’t ask anyone their orientation, identity or beliefs, to help ensure that they feel welcome and safe. So while we can’t claim an exact number, we believe by sheer size and access that we are the largest provider of poverty relief for people in the LGBTQ community.

We have a dorm in Las Vegas exclusively for transgender individuals. In Minneapolis, an estimated 20% of the 550 or so individuals who seek rest in our Harbor Light shelter each night are members of the LGBTQ community. In San Francisco, we operate a detoxification facility that caters to those infected with HIV/AIDS. Our Young Adult Resource Center provides day shelter to homeless youth in Houston, many of whom identify as LGBTQ. We work with the City of Baltimore to combat trafficking among transgender individuals, a growing need there. And every other Salvation Army program, shelter or center nationwide is open to members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Yeah, but you’re not WOKE enough for the idiots on social media, guys. So all that other stuff doesn’t matter.

Swear to God, these people…
