Not Over Yet: Second Woman Accuses Al Franken of Groping

Well, you knew this was coming, because for one thing, this is always how these stories play out and for two, Al Franken just looks like the kind of smug creep who would use his meager fame to touch beautiful women in ways they would never want to be touched by him in any other scenario. Oh, and the kind of pious hypocrite to then use his platform as a liberal Democrat to preach at conservatives about the way they treat the fairer sex.

You’ve really got to love it. Between Franken and Weinstein and the rest of these liberal celebrities, you have to wonder if this is less a reckoning for Hollywood or Washington or MEN than it is a reckoning for feminism as an institution.

So yeah, just as Franken’s buddies on the left were trying their damnedest to tell us that he didn’t belong in the same basket as Pervy Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, another woman has come forward to accuse the comedian-turned-senator of grabbing her butt at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.

“In August 2010, Al Franken grabbed me while taking a photo together at the Minnesota State Fair,” wrote Lindsay Menz on Twitter. “I felt violated and embarrassed. I 100% believe your account of him and his actions, Leeann Tweeden. Thank you for sharing your story. #metoo.”

Unlike the 2006 Tweeden incident, which some Democrats have lamely tried to excuse as occurring before Franken had entered politics, the 2010 groping would have happened after Franken became the so-called “Giant of the Senate” he claims to be in his recent book. In an interview with CNN, Menz said that as her husband was taking the photo of the two of them, the leering liberal “pulled me in really close, like awkward close. He put his hand full-fledged on my rear. It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek.”

In a statement to CNN, Franken said: “I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don’t remember taking this picture. I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected.”

You feel badly that she…hmm…

This is, we believe, what feminists call BLAMING THE VICTIM!

Democrats really have no choice at this point but to call on Franken to resign. If they want to hang on to a shred of feminist believability, they cannot possibly afford to stand aside and allow this creep to go unpunished for his (multiple, apparently) infractions. If they do not, then we should take it as a clear sign that all of their rants about women’s rights and Republican wars on women were never anything more than political sideshows meant to play female voters like a fiddle.
