Former New York Post columnist Shaun King, a socialist fool who has masqueraded as a black man for most of his adult life, announced this week that the effort to tear down every historical statue in the country would not be complete until activists turn their attention to the biggest “tool of white supremacy” of all: Images that depict Jesus as a white man.
In a series of Twitter convulsions this week, King said that white Christians were using modern images of a light-skinned Jesus to fuel their racist power trip.
“Yes I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been,” King tweeted. “In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”
King continued, insisting that “white Jesus is a lie” and was nothing more than a “tool of white supremacy” that contributes to the oppression of black people. All such images should be removed, he said, including “murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends.”
“They are a gross form white supremacy,” King wrote. “Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda. They should all come down.”
King dug back into the archives of Popular Mechanics to find a 2002 article which said that scholars had recreated a more likely image of Jesus than the one most Americans are familiar with:
“Experts have long since said this is likely the most accurate depiction of Jesus,” King explained. “White Americans who bought, sold, traded, raped, and worked Africans to death, for hundreds of years in this country, simply could not have THIS man at the center of their faith.”
Okay, Shaun. By the way, can you point out the modern day white Americans who have “bought, sold, traded, raped, and worked Africans to death”?
Well, while we’re waiting for your answer, we’ll see your Popular Mechanics Jesus and raise you this picture of you from childhood:
Seems to us that Jesus isn’t the only one to have undergone a racial change over the years…
